| All right, my fellow readers (yes - all 4 of you), This is going to be my last xanga post. I have decided to go the route of the devil, and go over to blogger. Truthfully, since the time I signed up at blogger in order to post on other people's blogger sites, they have immensly improved some of the issues that made me dislike the site. Hey blogger is made by Google...
Anyways, I spent the entire weekend (with the exception of a few hours on Saturday and Sunday) setting up my blogger blog. In fact, I have it extremely close to the way that I would have it if I had built the software myself. And I have it posting to my own site.
So, without further ado, here she is: YarshBlog!

Goodnight, Xanga. | | |
| I have a problem with getting motivated. Right now, all I want to do is go home and take a nap. And watch the Suns game.
I guess it doesn't help me that I am feeling a significant financial crush for the first time in over a year. There's a new hit out on me, one that I cannot overtake without attempting to get a personal loan. And I did just that - applied for a loan to cover my outstanding debt(s). If it comes through, money will certainly be tight, but not to the point that I can't afford anything - just not everything. And I will have a 2-ton gorilla finally off of my back.
I am thankful that I have a secure job right now. It could pay more, but I am currently satisfied with my employment situation. I'm certainly not working at the gas station anymore; that in itself is reason to be optimistic.
I'm happy to be living independently again, but fearful that the day will come (once again) that I will not be able to keep up with all of the bills. Living with John is good; we have a good comradery built. However, a 3rd roommate becomes more and more practical and necessary. And we're only in the first month at the new place.
Bah! When is it going to be Nap Time???
| I am going to blog today - with or without internet connectivity at home.
We have all of our stuff moved in, finally. Actually, John had all of his stuff in by Saturday (would have been Friday if he hadn't left some computers down in Mesa). I got my last load Monday Night.
We have power and water, the necessities, and actually should have internet. Only problem is that we couldn't find the power adapter for our cable modem last night. Hopefully we can get that taken care of tonight. UPDATE: My dad just called, and told me that he remembered that the cable modem that they are using is actually mine. He is going to buy a new one today and give it to me tonight. What a weird coincidence: I had not even told him about our struggle with our modem...
Got a call an hour ago from our 3rd roommate, who was filling out his paperwork before moving in, and he told me that he was not going to move in after all. Shit. Now accepting applications for 3rd roommate. We had things under control right up until my bank account, and John's, showed negative yesterday. We were both ok until the AZ Government cashed our Tax checks.
Anyways, the last piece to say today is that I have a salary review tomorrow afternoon. With any luck, I will get a decent raise (my hope is for around $10k more than I currently get, but it will probably be only 2k...). I need to make a list of reasons I deserve this raise and perhaps I can persuade my masters to see it my way. That, and get my raise retroactive to January.
Ha! Fat chance... | | |
| We got the house. We got the house!
I want to say that Bob Vandercook at Argus Realty was very kind, very straight-forward, and very helpful. And the fact that he got back to us so quickly was extremely helpful when there is someone involved that must have a place to live by May 1st. Sucks having to drive down to 43rd Ave and Bethany Home twice already this week, with a 3rd time coming in a couple of days (the realty office is located there). But it is worth it to have a place to live, for a very reasonable price.
Move in is this weekend.
